We are delighted to share that Haikun Zhang, a postdoctoral computational scientist in the Kisat and Murtaza Labs, has received the NIH Pathway to Independence Award (K99/R00). In addition to funding completion of her postdoctoral training, this highly competitive award will also support the establishment of her own lab in her first faculty position. This is a testament to her ongoing and innovative work to improve the diagnosis of sepsis by integrating microbial and host cell-free DNA analyses. Congratulations, Haikun!
